the city finally agreed to put in the lights at chestnut street. i cant thank you enough for backing this because things are going to be so much safer now. keep an eye out for the installation work starting soon.

Final supporters
We petition the City of Dover, NH to implement a pedestrian crossing light at the crosswalk on Chestnut Street that runs from the front of Saint Mary’s Church towards Third Street.
Pedestrians who have used this crosswalk have been injured and even killed. This is a dangerous intersection with a lot to distract a driver before approaching the crosswalk.
The addition of a street light strictly for pedestrian use will improve the safety for local residents in Dover.

Finally someone is pushing for this. That street is a total nightmare.
DOVER NEEDS TO FIX THIS. HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE HAVE TO GET HURT???
My kids walk to school past that church all the time. It scares me to death. Put the light in.
Way too many close calls at that spot. Its only a matter of time.
Ridiculous that this is even a debate. Safety should be the priority. Stop waiting for another accident.
