This market makes Stellenbosch that much more Stellenbosch on a Sunday. I always looked forward to it, as did so many others. This market is what makes Stellenbosch different from other towns. Please, please bring it back! The market does not seek blind acceptance, but at least cooperation and collaboration from the Municipality with a shared common goal of having the market, even if it’s on a different street.

This market is a Stellenbosch signature, it was the first town 'event' I went to in first year and since then, I've gone almost every weekend and saw people driving in all the way from Cape Town and Franschoek to see it.

You’re not doing a “good thing” for the town by always wanting to change things. Some things are better left the way they were.

If the applications have been filled why should there not be a market. It brings business to Stellenbosch and is a source of income for many people. Who was hurting by having the market? Or is this a tired excuse of the government to collect "application fees" for themselves over the small businesses they claim to care about.
