Please bring back the markets. They bring life (and customers from other areas) into Stellenbosch town. The markets benefit the municipality, traders and surrounding local businesses. In this economy, why would you turn away such an opportunity?

Sundays on Dorp Street was such a vibe! I stay right there! Used to my favourite day of the week just becasue the vibes DJ Paulie would bring. Lost a little of Stellies' soul when the market closed down.

So shortsighted on the part of the municipality, who do not seem to grasp the value that the market has added to our town. Relocating is not an option, the whole point is that it is Dorp Street, not just some other random market, of which there are so many. Definitely some other motive or player behind this decision.....!

Dorp Street market belongs in DORP Street. Loved by all. Huge asset to out town. Never caused any trouble. By the people, for the people. That's what our town used to be about.
