I am encouraging you to sign this petition and look at this link because it is very important. I have already thought that the curriculum in schools should be changed but now after seeing this video it has encouraged me to do something. Something bigger than myself, if we actually change how the school teaches then I believe we could change the future for the better because we ,students, are the future.
So if we can work together to better prepare students for the real world then we can change the world. Please share this and help spread the word so we can spread the change. This petition is called 'don't stay in school' because the curriculum being taught in schools needs to leave not the students. This petition is not enc students to drop out of school. I would love to see more practical subjects taught in schools. We need to better prepare students for real life. Hopefully this petition will be a catalyst for changes and promote better communication between the educational system and parents and educators. Let's teach our kids how to cook, clean, balance a check book, budget, apply for jobs, interview, save money for retirement etc. We need to be proactive with our future and not all children have parents to help them with these topics! Good job Kylee! I'm excited to see where this goes.
From someone who works with their hands everyday I think the school systems are focused on who is the smartest it focuses on careers that are doctors and lawyers but we need to teach kids about what you going to actually use in life and what your going to need rather than who is smarter in our school we need to teach kids you don't have to go to collage it's ok to work with your hands and get dirty we need more votech programs and less of calculus we need a change and someone is stepping up to make that change please join her...join us we can make a difference send this link/video to everyone you know let's make a difference
This video is so true. I didn't learn basic financial planning until college. Don't get me wrong I think that math/science/history etc. is important to be a well-rounded and educated individual, however, preparing students for life after high school is imperative and severely lacking. It's sad.

I totally agree with this! My mom is a teacher and she has to grade so many papers! She's stressed out all the time and I feel like changing the school system will not only help the students, but also help the teachers. Teachers have a life too and shouldn't be wasting their time on being stressed out. My dad is also a principal and has to do so much work and both of my parents get so stressed out! It makes me sad to see how much they work compared to how little they get paid. Also, students need to be taught how to live in the future like paying taxes instead of how to find x. I don't need to know that for anything outside of school! I totally agree with this! I didn't at first, but then I watched this video and realized what this was for. Thanks so much Kylee!
