Don't roll back the closing time for bars & restaurants

Leave the bar time alone! Stop trying to over control people and everything

Keep government out of small business!!!

I bartender for a living and play music out for a hobby. The 2 am closing time would hurt both myself and my employer. It would also put a painful squeeze on the local music scene.

Being a bartender I know that changing closing times in Buffalo would be a damning move for those getting by in the service industry.

It would be absolutely criminal to cut back the bar time. It would decrease revenue, job opportunities, and destroy the spirit of nightlife the city has successfully cultivated.

30 year old resident Mobile food truck owner 13 year veteran of WNY kitchens My nights end at midnight, where I then proceed to spend my hard earned money out with like minded friends for 3 1/2 hours until 4am. Then I take a cab home and go to brunch on Sunday around noon. WHY SHOULD THIS BE ILLEGAL???

More hours, more jobs, happy people (even if they are drunk) get uber!

This is ridiculous. Why now? Why don't we bring Uber into the city to aid in preventing drunken drivers? Why, when we have companies like WNY DD that will, for a small annual fee, drive you and your vehicle home after imbibing? Closing 2 hours early, will make Buffalo like every other city. The 4 am closing time allows restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. To make extra revenue. By taking these 2 hours away, you're just doing the business owners in Buffalo, as well as its patrons (from all over), a huge disservice.

As a mother of two young adults raised in new england, which has this type of curfew on bars, I have not seen a 2 am closing as having a beneficial effect on responsible behavior... Later transit times and Uber would give people a way to have a few and get home safely... Curfews are just easier and cheaper and in the lo ng run will promote irresponsibility and after hour clubs that will serve under age people. Let's be a forward thinking city and let adults go out when they want to.

Keep the bars open. Keep the business coming to those local businesses benefiting from each late night hour they are open

This is flat out wrong, as stated in the article there are so many reasons to keep this law as such. Restaurants who depend on it, musicians, people who work late and can't get out at a reasonable hour to enjoy themselves, yes they exist. Please stop this knee jerk BS, Sincerely Buffalo Born

There are places that stay packed til 4am in this city, restaurants that thrive on the 4-6am 'drunk rush'. Buffalo is one of the few places that you can still 'party til the sun comes up'. This is foolish, and will hurt commerce. If anything, have bars pay quarterly to extend their hours, but removing the option? That's some Bon Jovi / Buffalo Bills crap my friend. That's city of Bad Neighbors crap. That's not All-America.

People in buffalo are proud to boast about our late closing times. Closing early won't cause less crime, it will simply shift what time of the night it occurs. Bad desicions are made at all times of the day. In a world where buffalo is continuously put down, we deserve to keep the little things going that make us exciting and unique. Buffalo has a lot to offer, and it's only getting better. Don't set us back, vote to keep our nightlife open until 4am!!

Job depends on this, and it's nice not to be rushed to go out and can take time and be able to stay out later in the few days I have off. Honestly one of the many reasons I love buffalo. Bring über to buffalo and stop taking short cuts to the issues at hand.

I am a pharmacist who works late hours and lives in Allentown. I rely on those hours to eat late and alleviate a bit of stress into the wee hours of the night. Please don't change to 2am.

You will not benefit the community in any demonstrable way by passing this needless legislation. The net result of this will be damage to area businesses and a lessening of the quality of life in Erie county. Please focus the attention of county government on matters that will actually HELP , not hinder, the county.

This is one thing that makes buffalo different and exceptional.

I work in the industry and can't believe the twisted information 2am supporters are using to gain support from people that don't frequent the downtown area. How about they release specific useful information about alcohol related accidents specifically in Buffalo, not a general one written to seem like a Buffalo statistic. Why doesn't Buffalo allow uber, a service that a substantial amount of bar and restaurant patrons would use regularly, and instead defend our deplorable taxi services who take advantage of the people they pick up, as well as the company's they work for by turning off their meters while driving and charging inflated prices. A service that solves their main argument! The city of Buffalo is moving forward propaganda like this takes us two steps back. There's an underlying agenda here that isn't being communicated by the people responsible for the roll-back.

This is one of the things that makes Buffalo, Buffalo. Please don't change it now!

Closing bars at 2am will only hurt businesses, as well has severely shorten the time that musical acts at said businesses get to perform.
