Be serious erie county is known for 4 am closing time. It's a big business here. To take that away would be economically incorrect.

I serve most nights and especially weekends until midnight or later. For instance tonight, I didn't get home until 1:15 am and was invited out by other friends who too work until late evening. 2 am closing would mean an end to that and the money we spend post 2 am. Do we care what everyone else im the neighboring cities or counties do? No. This is buffalo. This is what WE do. In buffalo you count on establishments being open until 4 am just like you count on rain in Seattle. Get over it. If the house to which you have chosen to buy is too close to action well perhaps you didn't do your neighborhood research before purchasing. Allentown, Elmwood, Chip Strip....these places keep the city alive long after the yuppies go home and tuck into bed by 8.

Our hours are a key component to our night life, in which attracts visitors (money) here! Why change it. The BPD has managed control of it gracefully for many years and should remain able to do so. Aside from the BPDs loss of income, just think of the bartenders, waitresses, and business owners effected by this change. Unnecessary, and with all the recent developments in the downtown / waterfront area, why not keep this key characteristic of our city?

There are many ppl who live in Buffalo and work awkward shifts, yet still looking for a good time. I'm sure the businesses agree, all of the revamping of Buffalo we are doing, why change a attracting highlight of our city?

the argument for changing the closing time is not founded in empirical research and will serve as a detriment to business owners in many industries across the region at a time where we are experiencing a resurgence in hospitality and tourism.

Close at 1AM or 2AM - that's plenty late enough for almost everybody. Keep a supply of beer & booze at home, if you must keep drinking into the wee small hours. Go home, be safe, go to bed, and get up to enjoy life like a normal person. Nobody needs to be drinking in a bar after 2AM.

If you close bars at 2am everyone is dumped into the street at the same time which will not be a good result.

this screws over the hardworking second shift workers in Erie county. Shame on you!
