Why does the government have to step in to this part of life? The easy answer is for safety of citizens. There were just under 400 deaths in New York state last year. How many were in buffalo, from 4am-6am? 1? 3? The ripple effect on small business in buffalo will hurt the cultural aspect of the region. I understand it's helpful to help the safety of citizens, but is also important to help protect the freedoms of the citizens of the area. Mistakes happen but laws are not an answer to solving the issue. Education and practice are the ways to help solve drunk driving issues. It would be more effective to fight for uber services or tougher education laws for citizens rather than constricting citizens to certain time frames to let loose from the every day struggles of life.
Hope the elected officials protect the freedoms of citizens and don't restrict due to a couple of poor decision makers

The city is just getting going - Why mess with it.... Don't the Erie County legislators that are trying to move this forward have better things to work on like the highest tax rate (or close to the highest)in the country?

Whether its 8pm,Midnight or 4am alcohol effects people at anytime of the day businesses shouldnt be punished we are trying to grow buffalo lets not bring down the economy by closing at 2!!

Give bars the option of closiing at 2am if the prefer too but please don't make it mandatory

Some people don't get out of work until late. Also small business bars are trying to stay afloat as it is and your making them close early that's just more $ lost. Also were supposed to be building up buffalo who is gonna wanna come to buffalo when the night life ends at 2am.
