If the concern is over consumption why not propose bar staff be educated in program like TIPS to make sure we have ancity of educated servers who are aware of the signs dangers and best ways to deal with someone who has had to much. This is just a political play and theres documentation that shows we have LESS issues with drunk driving etc then other counties with earlier last calls thus makeing it seem they have no true argument other then aying politics. This messure would hurt local economies and businesses with no proof that it will do as they claim to make any positive changes. At the least they should come up with compromises like offering to grandfather in existing businesses who have not had a troubled history...dont punish all the good and responcible owners and staff who cotribute to buffalo!

Maybe if Buffalo offered an alternative transportation option, such as Uber or Lyft, people would be more interested in taking said transportation home, instead of opting out of over-priced cabs wherein said drivers drive just as terrible as drunk drivers do!

The law should not be changed based on assumptions, but only after a thorough study of the positive and negative effects.

The bar closing time is one of the unique features of the area. Change the time and loose all the out of towners spending money in these places- and stying out "late" just because they can.

I work in bars that stay open until 4am. WHy are you trying to destroy our jobs?

Figure out how to get Uber here and be a progressive city rather than worry about late closing bars!

That is what makes Buffalo different from other cities. When people come here they're excited to go out and enjoy themselves.

I had so many great times out at the bars until 4AM when I was in my 20s! Let the young adults go and enjoy themselves damnit! We all did!

Many Buffalonians work in bars and restaurants, and they depend on the nightlife to make an honest living.

Relatively few bars actually stay open until 4am. Let the bars decide for themselves. #Democracy

I only get to come home a handful of weekends each year and love the extra time to be able to spend out with family and friends.
