As someone who makes income working in the bar industry, I'm a bit miffed that you find it acceptable to limit the number of hours I am allowed to earn my money.

There's no need to roll the time back. Keep it where it belongs, if people don't like it; then move out somewhere else.

No one says a bar owner must stay open until 4 if they choose not to. Nor are you obligated to stay out until 4 if you don't want to. Don't take THEIR choice on how to run THEIR business!!

Changing the time will not change what happens out on the streets. People will just start drinking earlier. The same people that are drunk at 4am now will be drunk at 2am.

I believe it is in my best interests as both a culinarian and a citizen of this great city that all discussion of an earlier bar closing time cease.

Many years bartending I counted on that late night hit when Niagara county and Canadian bars closed.

This will only harm business and nightlife. You're not going to prevent lives from being lost by this. People will always drive drunk they will just do it earlier now. Maybe make the DWI penalty harsher. But don't harm business

If a bar wants to close early they can why should it force hundreds of bar staff to be forced out of jobs.

Focus on providing viable late-night public transit, and allow uber and lyft to operate here, as they do in many, many other cities. As for homeowners in the vicinity of nightlife areas, they should be requesting more police on foot patrols to address nuisance behaviors.
