bars should close at 4a. If some people can't handle the responsibility, it shouldn't affect everyone else.

If the root cause for suggesting an earlier closing time for drinking establishments is the supposed reduction of drinking and driving incidents, then there are plenty of other, more effective ways to address that problem than by impacting these businesses in such a way.

The 4am time is a tradition reaching back to our steel producing days. It is also a source of pride when I was out of town as it set us apart from other small cities.
