Don't roll back the closing time for bars & restaurants

Moving the last call from 4am to 2am will be a slap in the face to the entire Buffalo nightlife culture. The 4am closing time is a point of pride for the city and its residents. Keep the closing time at 4am.

Stop trying to ruin Buffalo.

Screw ny state. Leave the time a bar closes at 4pm . Gives ppl time to sober up or enough time to meet someone if their single like me !

Why would they want to close the bars n club at 2am that is just nonsense ya control lots of stuff n now our hours

There is no reason that this change needs to happen, so why put a damper on local business when our economy and tourism is FINALLY picking up?!

In Europe there is public transportation at 4am , this is going to cause me to drive home at 2 am wasted instead of at 4am a lot more sober. Stop shooting up school and start shooting politicians.

Closing the bars earlier won't prevent drunk driving; making it easier for people to get around this city without cars with expanded public transportation options, increasing the number of cab licenses, and allowing Lyft and Uber will do more for this region's safety than closing the bars earlier. People will still drink and drive, but you'll be hurting our amazing music scene and taking profits from small businesses.

there is no reason for the change of time bar closes. stuff is going to happen no matter what time it is. having the bar open til 4 is great for the people that work late and get out at 230/3am.

I live in the Ellicott District and will be voting against anyone who supports the earlier closure of bars. I believe forcing the establishments to close at 2am poses just as great, if not greater, of a public health risk. We have already learned that prohibition doesn't work. Take a cue from European countries and spend your time on promoting responsible drinking and social habits and stop constraining local business owners who make this city great!

There's little reason to change the times People will still be out and still be drunk. Let those who can be responsible have fun, it doesn't cause as many problems as you think

Let bars do what they want? I no bars that close before even 2am because they want to. It should be left up to the bars. It's there business. Crime for dwi will now only change from the after 2am instead of 4am. People regardless will drink in drive no matter what the time is

Closing early won't decrease drink driving. It will hurt the economy

The 4am bar closing sets us apart from thousands of other cities and towns. We are not Rochester or Syracuse or Albany and we don't want to be!

Ppl will just go out earlier. It's not gonna solve anything. Stay open til 4!. What about all the drunk old ppl driving during school hours.? That's far worse than ppl on streets at 4 am

People should be free to stay out as they please. Bad apples should not ruin it for everyone .

I think it's potentially more reckless to close bars at 2am due to more people leaving at the same time. I also think it affects many service industry people's livelihoods in that they cannot make money at this time anymore or use this time to have fun after they get out of work.
