Don't roll back the closing time for bars & restaurants

Let bar owners decide their own business decisions.

Closing time should absolutely be up to the proprietor.

Don't fix what isn't broken.

Time could probably be better spent trying solve the mountain of more important socio-economic problems plaguing Buffalo than be wasted on this.

All these new entrepreneurs opening amazing bars and restaurants in the city. Why take this from them ? Wha evidence supports the change?

I support the 3pm closing time. Bars are filled with mostly trashy people and they shouldn't be behind the wheel of any vehicle.

Bartenders would lose hours and tips. Bar owners would lose revenue. Beer isn't free. Longer hours mean more money spent. It's simple/

Focus on real issues and leave the bars alone.

This is beyond ridiculous

There are many benefits to keeping a 4am close time for bars. From economical, cultural, and safety standpoints, 4am makes more sense. I have seen that additional 2 hour "buffer" allow people to sober up, buy a burger to eat and leave safely after that. From live bands to busy kitchens, 4am should stay to benefit them and the fabric of just one of the things that makes Buffalo a great place to visit and a fantastic place to live and raise a family (which I am doing now). Although I have not "closed the bar" in a few years, I think 4am close needs to stay right where it is.

HA! Wow, just when I thought maybe good things were happening in Buffalo this idiocy comes along. Seriously, the people that came up with this idea should die in a fire.

This proposal is not the answer and would have very little, if any, effect on the problem.

Just leave it alone.

As a resident of Buffalo for 11 years I have to say this would be a sad mistake for a lot of businesses and the development of the downtown area. Also the students at all the local colleges provide much needed revenue at those hours for a lot of local business.

Why is any elected official wasting a moment of thought on something that isn't anyone's business who doesn't want to be out at 4am? Have we solved all the other problems in society...or even just our little section of land on the lake--and I somehow missed it? What utter nonsense.

Such a stupid idea. Erie County has fewer drunk driving incidents than more than 2/3 of the state--possibly because there are fewer cars on the road at 4.. This is a solution in search of a problem driven by puritanical busybodies.

Don't change!

This is what keeps buffalo different and better than other cities !

This only means that the drunk driving accidents will happen earlier in the night. Keep the bars open until 4am!!!
