Ban pitbulls and I will pack up myself, my pitbull and my business and move out of this county. Period. Ban stupidity, not breeds.
I have had my pit bull for almost 14 years. He has protected us from burglaries, while I was sick he kept checking on me, by waking me up. And has let my children lay all over him. He is too friendly. I couldn’t ask for a better dog! And Laura never had a problem with him when she came to my house.
Please, I have owned only pitbulls for the last 20+ years and they are the most obedient, sweetest, and most protective dog and will only ever own one of the breed. Banning a breed is like being a racist against a group of humans. There are so many factors that go into how any breed of dog ends up in life, just as any human. Plain stupidity to think banning a breed would keep anyone from getting bit in the future is just plain ignorance.
This is 2020, acknowledging the ignorance of breed restrictions would be a step backwards. I've been working in the veterinary field for years and have been a dog owner/ rescue/foster for even longer. Its not about the breed, its about how they are raised, cared for, rehabilitated and OWNER ACCOUNTABILITY! We don't judge fit/muscular/ripped humans as being thugs/dangerous/ or criminal so why should we judge dogs this way? This is my hometown and I would hate for us to take on such a prejudice, ignorant policy of banning a breed that people are acknowledging across the country as being extremely misjudged. Pits have even taken numerous roles in law enforcement, military, and security. Please don't ban this sweet mislabeled breed.
I know tons of people who own them and have NEVER had a problem with them. It all depends on the situation. But it is no reason because of ONE dog to ban everyone else from having one. They usually reflect their owners I have a chihuahua that doesn't bark at all. He lays in his bed with his blanket and that is it. Doesn't care who's here or not. They have a bad rep for barking, annoying and ankle biting. So should we ban them too. Hell no!

Her bite wounds were not even that bad. I think it was more the entire experience. Me, I was attacked by a Doberman once. Thought I was gonna die. 1 arm and both legs. Put me in the hospital but, it doesnt mean the entire breed is bad. Pit bulls are beautiful dogs
