We are writing this petition in response to Wendell Pierce being arrested for assaulting a female in a hotel over an argument on political beliefs. Assaulting another person, let alone a female is unacceptable, and is against the values that this university stands for. By allowing him to speak at commencement Rutgers Newark would be condoning his actions.
