WSMV Channel 4 Nashville was once a very popular televison station. Recently, many unpopular changes were made. Losing Middle Tennessee's Favorite Meteorologist, Paul Heggen, was the last straw for us. We tried to "4WARN" you, but you didn't want to listen. Mr. Heggen is irreplaceable and you let him not only leave Nashville, but take a job in another state. We have been watching for many years. However, Paul Heggen's last day is our last day as your loyal viewers. This will be given to the management of WSMV, their sponsors, and Meredith Corporation. We are #DONEWITHWSMV
The feedback regarding the recent staffing changes continues to arrive in significant volume. I am currently compiling these messages to ensure that management understands the collective disappointment of the viewing audience.

The momentum behind this initiative continues to build as our community expresses its collective disappointment. It is clear that the departure of a respected professional has struck a deep chord with those of us who valued his presence on the air. Your ongoing participation confirms that this message is resonating well beyond my initial expectations.

Very sad - our family has watched Channel 4 for decades but it's just too much. Paul & Dagny were the last straw. We voted Paul the best weather personality in Nashville and then management forces him out. We'll find another channel eventually and make it our new home. For now, bye channel 4.

Ch 4 has done a lot of bad things of late, eliminating long time loyal employees and using computers as if they were the answer to all ills. I no longer watch Ch 4 and feel they no longer care about the local area and viewers so bye bye Ch 4!

In true NBC fashion, even at the local level you have ruined the news for me. It’s always hit job reporting and you done away with hardworking and decent people like Dennis Ferrier, Steven Good and Paul Heggen.

It’s really a shame that you don’t care what your viewers think. This petition will fall on deaf ears, I’m sure. WSMV’s motto: If It Ain’t Broke, We Will Break It

I don't know how it is in other markets, but in Nashville we've always been able to build a rapport with our news and weather people. What WSMV is doing is unconscionable and the sub-par replacements make the town look bad. I will not be a party to it! My family only watches NewsChannel5 now and will continue to do so. WSMV sucks!

I wish that you would have done more to try and keep Mr. Heggen. We, your viewers, are heartbroken over this. We trusted you and now we have to find another home. Mr. Heggen was part of our family and we invited him into our home, every day. We are also still upset about Snowbird, the real Snowbird. This is a very sad day for us

Not sure why you did what you did to Mr. Paul, but that was the most stupid move I have ever seen in my entire life. REAL dumb move WSMV.
