At present in Family Courts, past relationships cannot be mentioned. So if a partner has been abusive/violent to you and you know he/she has been abusive/violent in past relationships your not able to mention past ones. These build up a picture of the partner, eg: he/she has an history of abusive/violence. We only hear about such cases when something serious or fatal happens, this is not acceptable where children are involved. Has the Law stands, court Judges/Cafcass cant do a lot. If the Law changed it would safeguard adults and children Please sign this Petition. Please help to keep children safe.
