We are gathering support for Abilene's first enclosed, off-leash park for dogs and their owners. Such an area would provide a place for dogs to socialize with other dogs and get much needed exercise off-leash, and for dog owners in the community to meet who have a love for dogs. It would provide a place for our dogs to run free without affecting others who prefer to remain free of dogs. By signing this petition, I certify that I am a supporter of a dog park, and will allow the The Park People to use my name for gaining support from city and county officials. I also understand that this is a grassroots, non-profit effort, not an effort to raise funds from the City of Abilene.
