SECTION 210.060: LIMITATION OF NUMBER OF DOGS Except for dog kennels as regulated by the Zoning Ordinance of the City, no owner shall own, keep or harbor more than three (3) dogs over the age of four (4) months. (R.O. 2006 §240.070; Ord. No. 1031 §1, 10-19-87)

THIS is what I am trying to change! I am looking for dog lovers to come together and help me make a change to a 24 year old ordinance!!! It's outdated and not specific enough. Most "residential zones" can't be changed into a zone that allows "kennels." Also, if you choose to have a family pet visit or you dogsit, you can get in trouble for "harboring" if you already own 3!

 I want to see local municipalities be more inline with the MO Dept of Ag's requirements and allowances. For example, if you are a licensed rescue in MO you can have 1 dog per standard size ROOM...not just bedroom but room. This allows for even more than I would be asking for!

MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE'S ANIMAL CARE FACILITIES ACT: G. Animal must be placed in no less than a standard size room per animal. (For example, a four (4) room home will support no more than four (4) animals.)

Help me to INCREASE the CITY OF FENTONS DOG LIMIT to 4 by letting the Officials here know that dogs are NOT a nuisance but a part of our families and having one more than the current limit will NOT negatively affect the community, environment, or any public welfare.
