The city finally committed to building our K9 memorial dog park. They tried to ignore us for months but our pressure forced their hand. We won this for the officers and the dogs who served our community.

This petition is just to see how many people might be interested in using a dog park recreational area in Pineville, LA if one were to be built. Even just a fenced-in area with a walking track would be great! Sign the petition to show your support!
Update: After discussing this with others, once we get the signatures we plan to present the idea to the city as a memorial dog park honoring K9 units (dogs and officers) of Pineville/Alexandria. Keep sharing and getting signatures! Get all your family and friends to sign!

We just hit 100 signatures and the city council can no longer pretend they do not see us. It is time we force them to acknowledge that Pineville needs this memorial park for our K9 heroes immediately.

I was disappointed when I tried to take my baby to kees park and saw the no dogs allowed sign. I love this idea! Build one in Alexandria too!
I'd love the same for Alexandria. Please try to push for regulations and rules such as: must be spayed or neutered, updated vaccines, gated access, and charge a monthly/yearly fee.
I would LOVE it if Pineville had a dog park!! It would be a great place to take our dogs to play and interact (especially those of us who live in apartments and do not have yards), for people to meet others and make friends, for our children to go and watch the dogs play, and much more!! PLEASE!!, give us a dog park!!!
A dog park would be a great addition to the community. A safe place for people of all ages to enjoy the outdoors with their beloved pets. Especially for those without adequate space of their own to do so.
I have been tiring to get this started for over a year. Talked to police jury and Pineville police. Hopefully City of Pineville will make it happen,
Would love a closer dog park!!

When I lived in Baton Rouge, my dog, Diesel loved dog parks and he was very social. I've lived in Alexandria for 4 years now, and he doesn't have many opportunities to socialize with other dogs, especially "off leash." I would love for a dog park to open in Alexandria or Pineville.
