Landlords can not restrict dogs based on their breed. Dogs, once shown aggression shall be reported and handled appropriately with local law enforcement. Aggression is defined as attacking, biting and causing physical harm to another animal or human.

The feedback I have received highlights how many responsible pet owners face unfair housing barriers due to outdated breed policies. I am currently drafting a formal proposal to present to local housing authorities based on the experiences you have shared.

My dogs have never attacked or bitten anyone. I do not allow my dogs to run loose.
Breed restrictions are stupid. My pit is super gentle, my Yorkie bites! You figure it out!
Yes, i agree, please stop labeling breeds and treat aggressive dogs one case at a time!
I live in Richland when we moved into our townhouse the landlord said we could have a dog but gave a certain weight limit didn't say anything about a deposit as soon as she found out it was a pit bull mix she didn't hesitate to get on us to pay a deposit I love my pit she is so friendly she just loves to bark at everyone
Breed restriction needs to be stopped because the media has done nothing but villainize pitbulls and other breeds. I have two that are absolute lovers.

I have two pitbulls that are the most amazing dogs in the world. Very gentle and kind especially with my toddler. I am currently having the hardest time renting due to the fact the are considered "bully breeds".
