The Powershift automatic transmission used by Ford in the Fiesta and Focus range is plagued with problems.
Many new vehicles have been back for new clutches, software updates and computer components, some more than 6 times over an 18 month period.
The truth is they cannot fix the problem, anecdotal reports suggest that they blame the women drivers for their driving style, oddly no man has come forward to say their driving style has been questioned, even though men are reporting the same issues.
Consumers who have bought these new cars are left with vehicles which they cannot sell, the only option is to trade the vehicle back to Ford for a new car, at which time the Ford dealer will tell you the car isn't worth much because of the transmission problems.
Consumers are not protected by the Office of Fair Trading and big companies like Ford do not care about a hundreds or even a thousand unhappy customers.
It is time to make them care!
Let's get enough signatures to make Ford Australia sit up, take notice and do the right thing by their customers.
