There are plenty of other schools that need changing before messing with this one!

Thanks to the communications and multimedia magnet at Eastern Tech, I have valuable skills that I use have used in my career and have proven to be valuable. I'm so grateful for the opportunity ET's program gave me and hope that future students will also get the opportunity.

Eastern Tech's Magnet Programs are essential to the success and the future of emerging generations! I credit Eastern Tech, the allied health program and the amazing teachers ALL the time for where I am today- professionally and personally.
The Allied Health program enabled me to work in the medical field before even graduating from High School. I was able to obtain real-life experiences which propelled my career path. I would not have been successful in my Biology major without the Allied Health program. I am forever grateful for the medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and latin courses. At the time, they were very challenging, but I use what I learned EVERY single day.
I may be biased, but Eastern Tech is one of the very best schools around. Let's face it. The student population in the area and surrounding areas need Eastern Tech and the Magnet Program. Eliminating the Magnet Program will significantly alter the future generations and the socio-economic status of the local areas.
I cannot even believe this topic is being discussed. I thought "we" are supposed to be focused on developing generations and the importance of education.

The diverse nature of the technical program creates a balanced student population and workforce. Please keep all programs.

As 1989 Graduate of Eastern Vocational Technical HS (EVT) I'm am appalled that Baltimore County would take out the Tech programs, bad enough you removed Vocational from a school that is near and dear to some of it's Graduates! This school has always been on top with its technical and vocational attributes and has lead a lot of graduates into the work force with hope of the future. Do not let this happen!

The tech programs are what make Eastern Tech so great! You would ruin the only decent school in the area by removing them.

My brother and I are both Eastern Tech alumni. We were well prepared for our future roles in society by our experiences and education at ETHS. To have a specialty to focus on at such a young age really encourages students to research, explore and learn more about their future goals and aspirations. Please do not remove the magnet program from our school. The program is an integral part of shaping the future of our community!

While it has been some time, EVT/Eastern Tech prepared me for entry into the real world by providing the experience necessary to get a job after HS. Even though over 20 years have passed since I graduated, the education family members currently receive still seems top notch. What is the problem the BCPS Magnet Task Force is trying to solve?

If it's not broken, why fix it? Enjoyed my years at Eastern & learned a lot about not only the business world, but life through the programs.

BCPS don't be dumb. You already removed technology teachers from schools. It's the wave of the future but we also need technical training that ETHS offers.

It is because of the magnet programs at Eastern Tech that I was able to find a love for the medical field and am now pursuing a career as an x-ray tech. Don't change the magnet programs!

Eastern Tech was a wonderful high school. I was prepared for the business world once I graduated. The school environment is safe. Attendance is high as well as grades. Don't change what isn't broken

The way this country, as well as this state's education system is going is scaring me. Trying to change school such as Eastern Tech will only bring us further down on an education scale. These magnet programs are clearly doing well and helping Eastern Tech be the great school it is. Do not change my school, and stop the removal of all magnet programs!
