Do Not Change Eastern Technical High School's Magnet Programs!

Magnet Programs are what make Baltimore County better than other counties - it gives the students of Baltimore County choices. Not sure why "the collective we" wants to spend time fixing what is not broken. Focus First on the areas in our school system that really need the attention; the overcrowding, failing facilities, understaffing and uses of trailors - before spending time and energy and dollars on changing a program that is successful and winning national and state recognition and awards.

Eastern Tech's Magnet programs are what separates it from any other high school. They truly give you a feeling of what you have to look forward to in the future.

As an alumni of Eastern Tech I would be devastated if these changes occured. it was a long hard 4 years, but as a college student now, I've never felt more prepared for anything in my life . I have Eastern Tech High School to thank for that, DO NOT CHANGE IT !

Eastern Tech works and is a Blue Ribbon School. Don't "Fix" what isn't broken.

I can personally vouch that the IT program offered by the school has helped me with scholarship opportunities, build my resume, and land jobs. I'm sure other majors will have people vouch for them. The system at this school is working, why change it?
please keep this a magnet school. I really want both of my kids to go here and learn from a wonderful program that they offer.

Eastern Tech prepared me for college in so many ways,it would be a shame to take this opportunity away from many future students.

Both of my kids graduated from the school and they loved it. The teachers and administrative people are top notch

the tech programs have produced some of the hardest working people I know, it would be a huge mistake to do away with the tech programs

Once again, let's take something that is exceptional and change it. Why change something that has worked and change it's dynamics. The proof is in the pudding. Why is there always a wait list? Why do so many kids try to get into ET? We all know the answer. Maybe BCPS answer lies is making more schools like ET not changing it.

Eastern Tech is an amazing school that has prepared my daughter and is currently preparing my son for a bright future. Why would you want to change a Blue Ribbon school that has done so much for our children. Please do not change ET.

taking this program shows the kids of today that BCPS don't care. Kenwood is not even a mile away do you really need more public schools and less schools where kids can actually be smart and care about their future.

dont change the school that influenced so many people's lives. Eastern's Allied Health program helped me decide my future. If you take away the programs, you are taking away opportunity.

Eastern helped get me prepared for college and a job in the field of teaching! Don't change something that's giving off great results! So many kids from eastern are able to get jobs in their field of interest, internships, or college credits that advance them in their path to success!
