"This petition is just to be heard as Dj's around the world, Seeking the right to perform live mixes on Facebook Live without claiming copyrights to artist's music. It's just to showcase our talent as disc jockey's, and to bring light to Artist's in the music industry. We are not receiving payment or any gain from Playing Artist's music... We are just showcasing and would like Facebook to allow us to do so without being punished for showcasing talent and music. Thank you

We hit one thousand signatures today. It has been a long road against these algorithms but seeing this level of support keeps me going.

The takedowns keep coming and it feels like we are losing ground every time a stream cuts out. I am still pushing forward because this community deserves a platform to share their craft without constant fear. I appreciate everyone who has reached out to share their own frustrating experiences with these filters.

We do not benefit from playing anything from any artist, nor are we bootlegging by doing live broadcast of our talents as djs. No income is received and there are no corporate sponsorships involved. It's just the dj broadcasting his/her love of the craft and music.

DJs should be able to play music live via Facebook without being accused of copyright infringement(we're not selling music). If a DJ plays an artist music it could help boost music sales, Facebook could add links to the music being played live.

One of the greatest marketing tools for artists is the DJ. The way we play music is often chopped and cut, never playing a full song and not available for download. We are just playing for people what music we love so that they can love it too.

This isn't fair at all. The artists that originally made this content being blocked are BENEFITTING from their music reaching more listeners and more buyers. These djs are not making any sort of financial gain from using it in their streams and mixes. This has taken things way too far.

DJ's Promote music to all obscure corners of genres and should be rewarded for such and thanked for freedom of expression. What's next? Not allowing an Artist to paint until he gets permission from the Paint company???
