DJ's play an integral role in society in that we connect people through music, our roles as artists not only entertain people but inspire and educate people and our voices are heard by millions and millions of people on a daily basis. If it wasn't for the passion and purpose we all have through our craft, many aspiring artists would not be as successful as they are today.
We as DJ's should be entitled to play any legally purchased song on any platform we choose whether it be club,bar, outdoor event or podcast streaming DJ set. Most professional DJ's aren't out to rip the artist or record company off from entitled revenue, in fact we can be a contributing factor to the publicity and promotion of an artist or song through our vast community worldwide!
We don't wish to play for free, just a nominal (and fair) yearly subscription to allow us to perform with the knowledge that we are safe and legal and that our community is respected and acknowledged for the time, work and money we constantly invest into our art on a yearly basis.
So all DJ's let's band together and sign this petition and collectively voice our request to the music labels to lift this ridiculous copyright law prohibiting the hardworking and responsible that we are from doing what we love and do best...PLAY MUSIC!!

Let us play freely please. What we do is promote the work of artists which at the end of the day puts money in there bank to keep on producing. I don't make a penny out of this. Only the pure enjoyment of freely promoting artists work.
