- Contact your bank and tell them you are concerned about their investment in fossil fuels.
- Change some or all of your accounts, credit cards or mortgages to a credit union or bank with lower fossil fuel investments.
- Talk to and encourage friends and family to do the same.

I really thought this might just be a small thing I wrote up on a whim during my coffee break but look at all of you showing up for this which is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible. It feels like the tide is finally turning against these banks because people are actually tired of their money funding oil and gas destruction and that energy is electric.

Banks must be leaders in sustainable actions. Unrestricted GDP growth is a myth. To sustain ourselves, we must learn to thrive within our ecological capacities and the maintenance of our social foundations. We are not doing that now. Every bank needs to stop funding oil, gas, and coal development. Shift the investments radically (large shifts) to renewable energy.
Any company that invests in fossil fuels in 2019 is participating in environmental and social catastrophe. Divest now to save futuregenerations.

Banks of Canada, your investments can build a sustainable world or destroy this one. Moody's says we are heading to 3 yo 4 degree increase so act on this information. Failure to do so will make you culpable- criminally - for the Extinction of humans around the equator and 1 million Species. The world will suffer massive migration and economic collapse. Get out of your silo thinking and read the news! Tibet - once the glaciers melt, Asia will be out of water for 1.5 billion people and this is coming soon. Shut down the coal mines and all fossil fuel investments because fossil fuel is suicide, fossil fuel is genocide. It's either fossil fuel or family? Fossil fuel or legacy? I have spoken with bank investment employees who say they totally agree with the need to divest but that they are being blocked from up high so I beseech these people to join us in building a safe future. The US put a ban on the moon in 8 years so we can do this!

I am not a banking customer but I do have an RBC Insurance policy. I am now considering cancelling that policy unless RBC divest from fossil fuels immediately
