Disney needs more diversity in their princesses or characters in general.

Disney princesses have evolved over the years but still things stay the same. Skinny, Straight and "Perfect". Parents don't want their kids to think this is the definition of beautiful. There is a lot of gender stereotypes in these, the boy saves the girl, the girl does chores and cooks. Like no- I want to see characters that are different. How about a badass lesbian princess with a disability? Or a transgender prince? A main character in a wheel chair?
Kids want to see people who look and act like them and right now what most see is you have to have a man and you have to be skinny to be beautiful. That is a horrible thing to implant in kids heads.

If you agree to this please sign, I know someone did a petition for Disney to make a plus sized princess and I fully agree there needs to be more! I want Disney to make changes, they are on the right path but have a ways to go.

Updates

March 8, 2021

I am currently organizing the feedback from this petition into a formal summary document to send to Disney's corporate communications department. My next step involves securing a meeting with representatives from the diversity and inclusion office to discuss these specific character archetypes.

March 8, 2021

The current momentum confirms that there is a broad demand for these changes in character representation. I am now compiling the list of specific themes identified in the comments to include in a formal letter to Disney executives.

I absolutely agree, I myself am plus sized and as much as I enjoy the Disney movies and princesses, there needs to be diversity.

My daughter is always asking why none of her favorite characters look like her friends at school. Time for Disney to catch up already!
