We, the students of the North West University (NWU) – Mafikeng Campus petition and demand for the immediate dissolution of the NWU – Mafikeng Campus elected CSRC (Campus Students Representative Council 2015/16) on the following reasons:

• The CSRC has contravened Clause 1.3 of its Constitution by intentionally and/or neglecting to perform their Activities and Functions as outlined.
• That more than 75% of the CSRC members have intentionally and/or negligently, by failing to perform their Constitutional Obligations, put the name of the CSRC and the NWU – Mafikeng Campus into disrepute.
• That by their intentional and/or negligent act or conduct mentioned above our interests as students at large were not promoted and thus preventing and/or hindering on the exercise of our rights as students.

We therefore petition and demand the Dean of Students: Dr L R Mabe (as the person responsible to oversee their establishment, composition, functionality and dissolution) to read into Clause 3.3 and 3.4 of the Constitution and immediately dissolve the CSRC collective and/or remove or dismiss them individually based on their capacity and the reasons provided above.

This petition and demand must be understood and read together with the spirit and purport of the CSRC Constitution (as found in its Preamble) and towards the advancement of our rights as students.
