We, the undersigned, do ask the Government to think about spending much more money on research into dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Currently, per cancer patient, nearly £290 is spent on cancer research, yet only £11 per dementia/Alzheimer's patient is spent on research into this cruel thief of a disease. This is appalling! It makes one feel as if they should be ashamed of having the disease! Please, Mr Prime Minister, we urge you and the Cabinet to seriously consider this petition. Let's stamp out dementia. Those with the disease have nothing to be ashamed about. Please give them the dignity they deserve and after all, they have the same rights as anyone else who have diseases that are researched into.
