I think it is a disgrace that our vibrant city has no library. The city was finally onboard to help with $$$. Time for our Supervisors AND the library board to get on board and support literacy here.

The Diamondhead library is such an important art of our community. I took my two children there quite often, and they enjoyed the librarians and the projects and activities that were there throughout the year. It also encouraged them to explore new authors and increased their love of reading. Being that we live in Diamondhead, having to drive to another city's library has certainly decreased our visits greatly. I imagine many other families have been affected likewise.

I was a regular user of the DH library. I now have to travel too long a distance to use it often. The library is important to everyone of all ages and especially children.

Since the library closed, I have used the library system less often. It is now ten miles for me to the nearest library instead of only two.

The original award was granted to a local person and was to originally be built in front of the Hardware store. That location was perfect and way more accessable for everyone to see and use. It is unfortunate the politics that took place to get the Library built in the current location that NO ONE KNOWS where the library even is. It is important to have a library for the people that are not savy on the internet.

Old people depend on that library.
Selfish bastards already screw them out of their money to fund the golf course and country club.

It's a shame when Grant money builds library but a Board cannot keep it operating. How good is this Board that handles the finances for Operations?

I made a cash donation to the Dhead library. It needs to be funded by the county as the others, if one had to be closed, the Pearlington branch should have been the one.

Keep the Library Open. A closed library often reflects a closed mind towards the education of others. There are resources available - use them.

Closing this facility is a travesty! I doubt the lack of funding excuse-got to be purely political!! Why!!!
