I moved to Diamondhead from Oklahoma this summer and didn't even know there was a great library until a neighbor told me. It needs advertising, a great sign, some good programs that help bring in the crowds to be successful. Please bring it back!

I loved that it is within walking distance from my house. My children liked to walk and borrow books anytime.

Re open the library!! But this time, make sure that people know that it's there and that it's open! We had moved away from the area for a while after Katrina. We finally came back to the area that we call home a couple of years ago! We didn't find out that there was a library here in Diamondhead until it was being closed!!! How sad that we are missing out on a wonderful treasure called a library!!!

To close a Library is to handicap the people. If you close the doors to a place of knowledge without opening a new one, what does that say about those that made the decision and their feelings about their fellow members of the community? Open the library, let the community open the books and train their minds.
