money over quality of life is only the choice of those whose goal is greed and manipulation, think it over.

I live in SW and drive by the site every day. There is enough congestion already. Keep it real STC!

Keep SEU site as low-rise and zoning R-3: NO High-Rise. Please do not approve building a 10-story commercial high rise in a residential neighborhood. Especially next to elementary school.

Please do not build this 10 story commercial building in this quiet 3 story residential neighborhood. Not only will you dwarf neighboring family homes, a school rIght next door, but you will increase the need for parking which is already very bad and the increase in traffic flow will make life impossible for bicyclists, pedestrians and our children. Respectfully sell the site and go elsewhere or build low to be in keeping with your future neighbors.

This is an unwanted intrusion destroying the last remaining island of tranquility in Southwest Dc

I have lived in this area for over 14 years and am outraged that this thing is being forced down our throats. But not only am I angry at the SHC,but also and especially the Southwest Neighborhood Association. After originally filing a motion to get the university building declared a historic site,they withdrew their motion in exchange for $60,000 !!! The STP threw some free ticket raffles and a promise to advertise in the SWNA newspaper four times a year (not even monthly), into the pot. The president of the SWNA is Bruce Levine and the vp is Perry Klein. It may help our cause to let them know how upset you are. I myself want them to fund our efforts to get this building halted or at least stopping any plan to rezone our area. They owe us that much and they certainly have the funds now that they have sold us down the river.

Please do not rezone. It would negatively effect the character with the established neighborhood. We need more family housing options not more over-priced studio/1 bedroom apartment buildings.

Let them go to Rosslyn for their high rise residences. This looming building would be a serious intrusion into Southwest.

Southwest is turning into a commercialized area, and is losing its charm. We have been here for 8 years and enjoy the quaintness, let's not take that away!

As an owner and resident in SW DC for 8 years, the 9 story design does not fit the neighborhood and I am totally against it. DC should not change the zoning. The height is inappropriate to in a neighborhood of 2 and 3 story row homes and street parking is already at a premium. This is a flawed plan for our neighborhood, no one who lives here is in favor of it.

The intensity of this development, especially in the absence of adequate off-street parking for the use, is inappropriate for the neighborhood.

A 9 story building in the SW area of DC, not on M st proper will completely change , for the worse, the feel on the neighborhood

Don't change the zoning of our neighborhood. We want to keep Southwest's character.

I am against changing the zoning to allow a 9 story building at 501 Eye St. SW, DC 20024.

Shame on SWNA for originally selling out! The unique and tranquil character of Southwest is being transformed by over-development.

I am against the construction of a 7 - 8 story hi-rise building on the site where the SE University was located!

New development should match the feel of the existing neighborhood. Keep it low-rise.
