The kids need alternative recreational activites and whilst nothing is done locally we have no option but to travel elsewhere for better alternatives. i.e Belfast
Shame that these investments are overlooked!

Please build Derry Skatepark. You just need some concrete and some metal pipes really. Get the skater kids off the street and back into their natural environment. T'be sure

This need to be completed ASAP not only for the young people who need and deserve to have somewhere safe to practice their skills but also for the public in general as it would reduce the number of skateboarders using Ebrington square and the peace bridge and river walkway given that council want to encourage more people to walk or cycle instead of driving

In 2001 when I was 15 the council claimed a skate park was in the works. Fast forward almost 20 years later and no skate park.
