We urge relevant Greek State authorities to grant equal academic and professional rights for all Bachelor Degrees awarded by the American College of Greece, Deree College.
Deree graduates have achieved over the years to be highly appreciated by the market in most business areas. Yet we are not equally thought of by Greek institutions, whether academic and/or professional (Ministry of Education, Unions of Certified Professionals, accountants, economists, auditors etc).
As students, we have been hearing about the recognition of our degrees since the early 90\'s but little seems to have been done to this end.
It is high time now - as the European Union urges Greece to recognise equal rights for other non-Greek State University Degrees - for our case to be also heard and supported.
As Deree alumni, we feel that the already achieved market\'s appreciation should finally reflect as well in the recognition of equal academic and professional rights.
We invite all involved parties and especially the administration of the American College of Greece to consider this petition and its just cause.
The climb toward one hundred signatures feels incredibly heavy today. I am exhausted by the slow pace of this fight but we have to keep pushing to reach this first milestone before the authorities can ignore us again.

Recognition of equal academic and professional rights by the Greek government is a fair and just demand, given that the market highly appreciates Deree graduates!

It is unbelievable and ridiculous that this is going on for so many years now. Employers take advantage of our knowledge and excellent education. We are not properly awarded for our work and our jobs aren't save either. How old do I have to get? How many years do I have to work under this conditions??? It is our right! DO FINALLY SOMETHING!!!!

it is so sad for all of us to try to make amends of a situation that should not even be a matter of literary discussion - when i enrolled back in the early 90's the Registrar's and all administrative people at Deree were too willing to advertise to my family and me how fast their degrees would be recognised by the time I would graduate in 1997... Aftrer years of quality studying ,isn't it unfair for us , when other degrees ,coming from private I.E.K. ,after 2 years of studying are recognised???not to mention the pharmacies , which are owned by people with Italian university degrees.

Pleople that study cooking have recognised degrees but people who study International Tourism & Hospitality Managment, psychology, english, IT, business and more can't have recognizable degrees? This is too unfair for us!
