This is a petition that has been developed in reaction to Salem State Nursing staff members separating Mental Health & Public Health into two classes while adding two 8 hour clinicals. We the students feel that we deserve a say in whether or not this should be implemented. Many of us work while going to school. Even the students who are solely focused on classes are going to find it very difficult in finding time to study for both classes while having two 8 hour clinicals. I made this petition in order to let our voices be heard by the higher ups. Our voices and opinion matter.

Seeing the numbers climb reminds me why I started this despite the exhaustion of balancing these classes. This momentum shows the administration that we are not just accepting these changes without a fight.

This is going to be impossible to manage with my work schedule. We already have so much on our plates and adding more clinicals is just too much.
Total mess. nobody asked us what we thought about this.
Doing this in the middle of the program is so unfair to us. Please rethink this.
I disagree with the decision that has been made regarding separating the classes. It is not fair.
I agree this should be reconsidered and the student should have a say. We were under the impression the program was set up a certain way and then changed with out the input of the people who are paying for the services. This should be reevaluated and the students should vote.

Ridiculous decision. They really need to listen to the students before making these massive changes to the program.
