I spent this morning sitting in the empty booths at Dempsey's just imagining a world where these doors are locked for good. The stories you are leaving in the comments make it clear that this place is the heartbeat of our neighborhood. I am currently preparing a proposal to take before the zoning board to show them exactly what we are losing.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me of all the nights I spent at Dempsey's with my father before he passed. This outpouring of love for the place proves that a neighborhood anchor like this is worth every bit of the fight.

Friday nights just wont be the same. sad news.
Best wings in the city. You cant replace a place that has been there for 20 years. Ridiculous.
Developers are ruining this neighborhood. leave the local spots alone.
Dempseys is the only cool spot left on the block. DONT DO IT.
