Recently, our County commissioner's office informed us that there were no codes or ordinances to protect it's residences in District 3 area in Shawnee, OK. A local farmer in the area with a piece of property in that area has been blasting multiple cannons and bird gards repetitively disturbing the lives of many families for miles around the area. The noise has been affecting people causing health issues or affecting existing health related issues making them worse, the noise has been affecting people's jobs, children, and their family pets. As subdivisions continue to go in all around this area, we need a sound ordinance to be put in place to protect people so they can enjoy their peace of living while the local farmer tends to his crops. We need to get as many signatures as possible on this petition. We plan to take this petition to the County Commissioner of District 3 to show them we are standing together united and that we are in agreement that a sound ordinance needs to be placed here.
