Kinda hard to get a service connected claim approved when the symptoms don't show themselves for years. How many have died, never knowing they were poisoned by their own government? Disgraceful and irresponsible stewards to some of America's finest young men and women.

The notion that there was an unknown Leak Underground is outright deception, because my father was literally ordered, to "just dump it down the drain" with whatever waste needed to be disposed of.

I was exposed to highly contaminated water on the base from 1957-1964. I went from 1st grade to 7th grade at Midway Park Elementary and Brewster. My first symptoms were frequent nose bleeds and fainting spells.....I have not been well all my life and have had so much going wrong throughout my years.

I was stationed there in 2000-2001 and fully believe that the water was still contaminated then. I have young inset Parkinson's ; which is one thing it causes ( no one in my family history ever had Parkinson's) but the VA is denying that it is services connected.

I have been trying to get the V.A. to run the test for over 3 years now, and they have refused. I got out in 1983, and have been sick ever sence. They will not even tell me what test have to be done. I have received and filled out the booklet twice already......WITH NO REPLY.

My husband died seven years ago after being in the Marine Corps, Camp Lejeune for twenty years, and them working on the same base for seventeen more years. He passed from leukemia, but unfortunately they say it's not the kind of leukemia they are paying for.
