I really hope ITTF could attach more importance to the issues about the table tennis racket of Wang Chuqin. I must tell you that although most of the players in China are polite, it dose not mean they will tolerate the situation that against the fairness of the competition. By the way, I definitely hope CTTA could pay more attentions to the top players like Wang Chuqin rather than just keep silent as a death fish or shift blame as a stupid mouse in sewer. To: International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Complaints Department Dear Sir/Madam, I am a passionate table tennis enthusiast who has long followed and admired the sport. I hold high expectations for fairness, impartiality, and professionalism in table tennis competitions. However, during the WTT Mixed Doubles Round of 32 match on May 19, 2024, involving the pair Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha, a shocking and deeply unacceptable incident occurred—Wang Chuqin’s racket rubber was allegedly damaged before or during the match, severely affecting the normal progression of the game and the athlete’s performance. Description of the Incident Based on live observations and post-match reports, Wang Chuqin discovered an abnormality in his racket rubber during the match, which hindered his ability to perform at his usual level. As a top-tier athlete, the compliance and integrity of his equipment should be the most fundamental guarantee in any competition. This incident not only impacted the player’s performance but also cast serious doubt on the fairness of the match. Key Concerns and Demands This incident exposes major flaws in the organization of the event. As a spectator and supporter of table tennis, I hereby raise the following three critical concerns and demand that the ITTF immediately investigate and provide a public response: 1. Questionable Professionalism of Equipment Inspectors Was the racket rubber thoroughly and properly inspected before the match? If the inspection was conducted correctly, why did the rubber malfunction during the game? Are there loopholes in the inspection process, or is there a lack of competence among the officials responsible? 2. Impartiality and Competence of the Referees Did the refereeing team intervene promptly and take appropriate measures after the issue arose? If the rubber problem was confirmed, did the referees enforce the rules to protect the athlete’s rights? Was the entire handling process transparent an

The Racket Incident at the Doha World Table Tennis Championships: Investigate the Truth and Uphold Fairness and Honor In the sacred temple of sports, fair competition is the most core criterion. It carries the sweat and dreams of athletes and is also the soul of the sports spirit. However, the strange incident of Wang Chuqin's racket rubber coming off during the 2025 Doha World Table Tennis Championships was like a huge stone, stirring up a great disturbance and severely impacting this sacred criterion. On May 19th, in the round of 1/16 of the mixed doubles at the Doha World Table Tennis Championships, the Chinese pair Wang Chuqin/Sun Yingsha faced the Brazilian pair Hugo Calderano/Bruna Takahashi. Before the match started, the live broadcast on CCTV clearly showed obvious creases and openings at the top of Wang Chuqin's racket rubber, which seemed to have been deliberately peeled off.
