We, the undersigned, are deeply troubled and outraged by the repeated incidents targeting Wang Chuqin, a world-class table tennis player, during major international competitions. These acts of apparent sabotage not only undermine the integrity of the sport but also threaten the safety and fairness for athletes who dedicate their lives to table tennis.

Incidents in Question:

1. 2024 Paris Olympics: Wang Chuqin’s table tennis racket was maliciously broken by a journalist. This act disrupted his preparation and performance, causing significant distress to a top-tier athlete competing at the highest level.

2. 2025 Doha World Championship: Wang Chuqin’s table tennis rubber was deliberately torn during pre-match equipment checks, further compromising his ability to compete fairly and safely.

3. Repeated Scheduling Interference: In both the 2024 Paris Olympics and 2025 Doha events, Wang Chuqin’s matches were rescheduled to earlier times without adequate notice, leaving him insufficient time to prepare a second racket after the aforementioned equipment sabotage. This pattern of scheduling changes appears designed to disadvantage him.

These incidents are not isolated but represent a disturbing pattern of targeted actions against a prominent player. Such acts of sabotage are unacceptable in any sport and strike at the heart of fair play, sportsmanship, and the values that the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) upholds.

Our Demands: We call on the ITTF to take immediate and decisive action by:

1. Conducting a comprehensive and transparent investigation into both incidents to identify the perpetrators and circumstances behind these acts.

2. Investigating the scheduling changes that disadvantaged Wang Chuqin, including a review of how and why these decisions were made and by whom.

3. Implementing stronger security measures to protect players’ equipment and ensure a safe competitive environment.

4. Establishing strict penalties for those found guilty of sabotaging athletes’ equipment or engaging in similar misconduct.

5. Issuing a public statement addressing these incidents and outlining steps to prevent future occurrences.

Why This Matters: Table tennis is a sport built on precision, dedication, and fairness. Acts of sabotage not only harm individual players like Wang Chuqin but also erode the trust of fans, athletes, and the global sports community in the ITTF’s ability to uphold the integrity of the game. We stand with Wang Chuqin and all athletes who deserve to compete without fear of malicious interference.

Join Us: We urge all table tennis fans, athletes, and advocates for fair play to sign this petition and demand accountability from the ITTF. Together, we can ensure that the sport remains a beacon of integrity and respect. Let’s protect our athletes and the spirit of table tennis!

Sign the Petition: By adding your name, you join a global community calling for justice and fairness in table tennis. Let’s send a clear message to the ITTF that such acts will not be tolerated.

Please respect every player, Wang and everyone who loves table tennis deserves a better explanation on what exactly happened to the racquet! The unfairness and irresponsible attitude played by the organizer is definitely unacceptable!

1. Demand that the ITTF issue an apology and admit to negligence in the work process. 2. Impose penalties on the relevant personnel and conduct strict accountability. 3. Immediate measures should be taken to ensure the safety of the players' rackets.

We are deeply concerned about the intentional damage to Wang Chuqin’s racket rubber during the Doha World Championships, which unfairly impacted his performance. Such acts violate the spirit of sportsmanship and demand strict investigation.

Why did the same issue happen twice to the same athlete in a major competition? Is this a matter of poor organization, or is it intentional targeting? Either way, this is unacceptable. The athlete deserves an explanation, and so do the fans.

As we all know,Wang’s table tennis racket has already passed the test.so how can a passed racket rubber being obviously bended by somebody if no one can touch it? There is a white line on the racket as we can see. Why the empire says it is normal?

I would like to urgently report suspected racket tampering involving Wang Chu Qin and unprofessional conduct by umpire Najeh Ghachem during the mixed doubles match on 19 May 2025 at the ITTF World Championships in Doha. Please urgently investigate this incident, provide an official explanation, and issue an apology to Wang Chu Qin.
