The school has agreed to revise their uniform policy and lower costs for families across the board. This entire outcome belongs to all of you who spoke up when things felt impossible. Please keep an eye on the shop updates to ensure these changes are implemented properly.

The people who sign below are asking that;
the pricing of the Ash Hill Academy uniform be lowered to an acceptable price for local parents.
The quality of the uniform is bought up to a standard where items will remain in good wearable condition for an acceptable length of time,
and uniform is available locally.

For Ash Hill academy and Delta trust to accept that the academy is in an area of deprivation and parents simply cant afford to pay for expensive uniforms when there are other non generic options that are cheaper and can be sourced locally

We are in the middle of a pandemic, a lot of people are struggling financially

I have been reading your messages about how difficult these costs are for your families and I am truly humbled by your willingness to speak up. It is clear that this is a much larger struggle than I initially understood. I am currently working on gathering all these stories to present to the trust so they cannot ignore the reality of what we are facing.

I dont understand why the kids have to have delta shirts and trousers when local shops sell these items cheaper and still look the same as the school uniform. Also the local shops offer extra long with narrow waists on trousers which offer a better fit for my child who is slim with long legs . Ordering a size up just makes him look ridiculous.

I am a single working parent using universal credit to top up my income. I simply can't afford to purchase a full delta logo uniform.

Ridiculous to change a uniform 6 weeks before school ends for summer and to have to go to Leeds for it makes it difficult for a lot of parents

I will not be buying logo trousers or shirts. I have twins who I have just bought new trousers for. I definitely can't afford Delta ones for two children. Changing the policy for the last school term of the year is absolutely disgusting. Anyone would think there hasn't been a pandemic. Shame on you Ash Hill

The uniform pricing needs to be lowered expecially when the new law came into place back in April regarding the pricing of school uniform.

I have purchased 6 pairs of trousers for my son. I find them reasonably priced and buy them as he grows. I cam afford around £4 at a time. I have 3 jobs and fully support the need for uniform. But the cost of academy clothing is not something I can afford. I like to make sure he had adequate clothing for a week.
