Recently, the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria released a circular to commence Community Nursing/Midwifery training in Delta State.
In the State , we need employment and not legalizing quackery. There is no need for Community Nursing/Midwifery training in Delta.
The Nurses and Midwives in Delta State says NO TO COMMUNITY NURSING/MIDWIFERY training.

The goal of Delta state government should be to raise the standard of the state school of nursing and midwifery not train or open door for substandard nurses and midwives. Okowa you are too educated for this. I say No to this training. Create jobs Okowa you have enough qualified nurses.

Instead of training substandard health-providers' as Community Midwives, govt should employ those Nurses in the country who are not employed and send them to the communities to give the care the surprised Community Midwives are expected to give.

Community nursing and midwifery with 2credit entry qualification and 2yers training I does not meet international standard for nursing as a profession. It is degrading, and unacceptable.

I stand against this move. There are many trained professional nurses and midwives out there without job.please give them jobs to fill the lapses. The few ones in service are overworked and are advancing in age .

Nursing is a noble profession so there is no need to downgrade our profession by bring low grade programmes that will further lower nursing standrad .There are many unemploy and underemploy Nurses in Delta State and in Nigeria at large.

It is the most stupid thing for any government to conjecture because of its threats to the safety and lives of our mothers and aspiring mothers and so, must be made a dead on arrival

Create opportunities for the unemployed nurses rather than training community nurses
