Declan Keogh has been representing Irish Shooting interests in talks with the Department of Justice for 12 years (under the auspices of F.L.A.G. mandated by S.S.A.I.). He has represented all shooting sports and not just individual disciplines. Few would have the experience or knowledge that Declan possesses. It has now come to light that S.S.A.I. have decided to dispense with Declan and F.L.A.G. as representatives in the upcoming Firearms Consultative Panel, (the outcome of which will have the must crucial impact on the future of our sport in decades.) and replace him/F.L.A.G. with a less experienced representative. This decision arising under frankly, dubious conditions. Shooting Sports in Ireland will require strong and fair representation over the difficult times ahead. Please add your name to this petition to either press for S.S.A.I. to reinstate Declan/F.L.A.G. as representative or press the Department of Justice to invite to Declan to take another seat in the Firearms Consultative Panel. It's your sport.
The silence from the S.S.A.I. regarding these changes is deafening. I am still digging into why they chose to drop Declan during such a critical period for our sport.

Declan is the only one who knows the legal side of things inside out. This is a massive mistake by the SSAI and it needs to be fixed before the panel starts.

Total rubbish from the SSAI. They should be supporting the guys who actually put in the time. Declan stays.

We need the best person in that room. The DOJ panel is too important to mess around with inexperienced people. Keep Declan on.

The future of shooting in Ireland is on the line. Declan is the only one with the history and the grit to represent us properly.

12 years of work thrown away just like that? Absolute madness. Bring him back immediately.

What a joke. Disgraceful way to treat someone who has been fighting for our sport for over a decade. Get him back in the seat.
