I have spent this week drafting formal letters to the school administration regarding the exclusion of our ninth grade athletes. While I await a formal response, the testimonies I continue to receive from students confirm the impact this decision has on their final experience.

Participating in sports tournaments is a great stress buster for children. A little bit of friendly competition helps keep the kids motivated and happy. Not giving them a great opportunity - perhaps their last before life gets serious, could have grave consequences on their mental health. I firmly believe that they should be allowed to participate in 'Trojans'.
This is our last major tournament and maybe the most important tournament. If we participate we will show discipline and try to raise the name of the school

The 9th graders have been working hard for this tournament and they deserve to attend.
