The City of Converse public works told me a deaf child sign was approved to be installed for my son. Weeks went by and no communications. I call back to Department of Public works and now they say no sign because it's not in the MUTCD handbook. It's up to the jurisdiction that maintains your roads to put the sign or not. While others areas of Converse has them for other kids. Why were we denied? There is also some on the opposite end of our neighborhood. I was told I could buy my own sign. No that's not how it works. This petition is to gain signatures to get the sign.

Ridiculous that they have them in other parts of town but wont put one here for this family. Needs to be fair.

Live in the neighborhood and see the cars speeding all the time. Just put the sign up already it costs nothing compared to a life.
