We, the undersigned Travis Country residents, agree that the dead Ashe Juniper/cedar trees in Travis Country-owned greenbelts should be removed. A plan to remove the largest areas of dead cedars closest to Travis Country homes should be adopted.
The dry, dead cedar trees are a major fire risk that puts our homes in danger. Email your local association board members today to demand they prioritize a removal plan for our greenbelts.

I support the removal of as many dead juniper and other dead trees as possible in the greenbelts behind our neighborhood. My home backs to the Barton Creek greenbelt, and the dead vegetation there is an accident waiting to happen. Preventive action by TCCSA is long overdue.

My husband and I are in agreement. According to the meeting we attended on this issue, there is no environmental benefit to retaining these trees and much potential danger to the neighborhood.

GOOD NEWS!! This motion was approved last night and the Firewise Committee has already sent a request to the Texas Forestry Service:
MOTION: To request that Will Boettner TX Forest Service to perform a Hazardous Fuels Assessment, an Environmental Constraints survey, Management Plan, and Fuel Mitigation Project for Travis Country.
By: Leonard Saenz
2nd: Amy Sasser
Result: Unanimous
We have forward movement and are hopeful that we'll be able to address our dead tree problem in the fall. Thanks to all for your support.

I would be happy to cut and shred the dead cedars in the greenbelt near HillTop (SW corner of ROT and TCC).

My greatest concern for TC is a fire in the greenbelts which make TC so beautiful and valuable. I never want to see a tree removed unless it is dead or diseased. It is time to get these removed!
