By taking away parking, the city is making it extremely difficult for people with disabilities. Not everyone can use a bike. Some of us need cars. Some of us need handicap parking. Perhaps the city should consider the ADA implications of removing parking before ADA lawsuit is filed.
I deplore the relegating of pedestrians to third-class citizens as our sidewalks have become - without consequence - fair game for any motorized vehicle. Why has the bicycle lobby been granted so many concessions? Enough!
Pro-environment, pro-public transportation, pro-bike, yet the plans for protected bike lanes are poorly conceived, lack proper resident and business input, and lack accompanying laws to regulate bikes.
Minnesota Avenue SE has been carved up by unused bike lanes, to the residents' distress. The bike lanes were installed without notice and comment. Plus, the buses serving SE don't run -- especially the 36 -- and the hilly terrain is not conducive to commuter biking.
Ward 6 resident forn23 years. Please stop making our streets unsafe with unwarranted and ill conceived bike lanes that don't represent the needs of the whole of our community.
We need access to church and our homes for the handicapped and the elderly.
Totally agree. We all need to work together. DDOT seems to not respond to input. A dialog over all its changes. Much of what they di is UGLY.,, Paddles (Vertical traffic deliniators) cost $150 each. A poor decision to add them by the thousands to our streets. Culpability?

On Sept. 17th, the driver of the L2 bus on Columbia Road, going north at 5pm, told me that two bus drivers had already had accidents, hitting the new concrete plazas on Columbia Road
