Dave Parker's productivity and success over a 19-year MLB career proves him unquestionably worthy of election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.He ranks in the Top 65 all-time in career hits, RBI, doubles and extra base hits. He ranks in the Top 100 in career HRs. In fact, through the 2016 MLB season, there are only 16 Hall of Famers and just 5 non-Hall of Famers that, all-time, have more than DAVE PARKER in all four of these categories - career hits, career home runs, career RBI and career extra base hits.

He had an outstanding .290 career BA. He won the NL MVP in 1978 (he should have won the 1985 NL MVP too) and had two NL batting titles (1977 and 1978). He played in three World Series and was on the winning team in two of those (1979 Pirates and 1989 Athletics). He was a seven-time All-Star, winning the All-Star Game MVP in 1979 with two remarkable throws from right field.

In 2014, he was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds' Hall of Fame. There is no question, in our mind, that Dave Parker belongs in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

In August 2013, he confirmed he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and subsequently, he has established The Dave Parker 39 Foundation (http://www.daveparker39foundation.com/), a non-profit organization focused on finding a cure for Parkinson's disease in our lifetime, and to make life better for those living with the disease today.

This Fall, the Modern Baseball Veterans' committee will be convening to consider ten players, managers, umps, and / or execs for possible election and induction into the Hall of Fame. A player has not been elected by the Veterans' Committee since Ron Santo in 2011 and a living player has not been elected by the Veterans' Committee since Bill Mazeroski in 2001. We hope this pattern of no players being elected is broken this Fall and, of course, we hope that Dave Parker is one of those players elected.

Please sign our petition. There is no plea for a donation; we are merely seeking your name and email address. You can sign multiple times, suing different email addresses if you please. Our objective is to present this petition to the voting committee along with letters of support from former teammates of Dave Parker as well as current Hall of Famers. If you remember the outstanding play of Dave Parker in the field and at the plate, please consider signing our petition and let's make this happen in 2017 for 2018 induction!
