We, the undersigned, request that the SAU 3 School Board approve a policy to permit the sale of single tickets for semi-formal and junior/senior prom attendance at Berlin High School. We believe that the requisite of having a date to attend these events is antiquated, limiting, and unfair. We believe that this would enhance the overall high school social experience for students who will not attend these events under the current practice. We are confident that this overdue evolution will increase attendance at our school's social functions.

I really never thought this would gain so much ground but here we are and it just feels surreal to see so many people agreeing that the date requirement is totally outdated. It is honestly wild how much momentum this has gathered even though I was just venting out of frustration at my kitchen table.

a lot of my friends wont go because they dont have a date. totaly unfair that they miss out on the memory.
it makes no sense to force people to find a date just to dance with their friends. let us go solo!
I believe that everyone should have the chance to go and have fun.

PROM SHOULD BE ABOUT HAVING FUN NOT STRESSING OVER FINDING SOMEONE TO BRING. FIX THIS RULE ALREADY.
