Many Vets do not believe vaccines cause reactions in cats. We as breeders see this all to often. Symptoms can be any of
Limping
Lethargic
Unable to stand
Not eating and drinking
Diarrhoea
Vomiting
High temperature
Do not leave the vets without a course of anti-biotics and pain relief. If they refuse to give this, demand it. Your cat may not recover without this. Also ask your vet to report the vaccine batch number to the manufacturer.
Vets need educating on these reactions as we breeders see this all too often and it can be life threatening.
We have experienced this on many occasions and other breeders have too. All with the same dismissive response from the vet. See how the kitten/cat is tomorrow. By then, it’s too late
Often tests the vet’s do will not identify anything that is clinically wrong so they do not prescribe anything.
In the UK, the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD), an executive agency of Defra, governs the regulation of all veterinary medicines, including cat vaccines. We need this to gather traction to raise awareness

I have no words other than we believe we are leaving our babies in the hands of the experts so trust we are safe to follow their advice
This has to be put into process to save the poor cats and owners who suffer
Fear for my feline, would be devastated to see her in pain,or anyone else’s.

Lost a kitten to a reaction 2 years ago and the vet just looked at me like I was crazy. glad someone is actually speaking up about this cause its real.
